/On the occasion of the Schöneberger Art Walk, Galerie Gilla Loercher is very pleased to present the performance „Im Nebel“ by Ivan Liovik Ebel. The performance will take place on 31 August at 4:00pm, 4:30pm and 5:00pm and will take about 30 minutes.
The performance “Im Nebel” is based on reading a text in the fog: the room is initially filled with thick fog and while it slowly dissipates, the artist reads a text.
This text first describes the situation of a room without a dimension, or in other words, a room without a room. The appearance of a first and later a second dimension is slowly described until the audience reaches the room again at the end of the performance.
The passage between the different dimensions is no longer experienced as a brutal leap, but as a very calm experience, as a process that makes the intermediate stages almost visible.
The artist will show his performance a second time on 22 November 2013 during the Shape the Scape exhibition at the gallery.
