His painterly gesture, the special way of staging his figures in light and shadow, the muted colors, the sometimes oppressive subjects: Jürgen Eisenacher creates a dense atmosphere of tension in his paintings.
In his current paintings and drawings, Jürgen Eisenacher deals with the connections and consequences of European colonial rule over Africa.
In a fantastic manner, the artist succeeds in hinting at the history of these figures - all very daring, and perhaps precisely for this reason of great poetic power.
